We bought a new model V/C encor cat/noncat in Oct 2010 the stove was advertised as the most efficient and cleanest burning stove on the market it should burn for 9-12 hours.we can only get 4-4.5 hours with a full load of wood and closed down all the way.You can't speak to V/C, they rout you to a tech guy in Canada.They wont you to go to the dealer.I cant do that the forth time in the shop it almost came to blows.The regional dis. rep has been polite but in the 5-6 weeks we have been working with him nothing has been fixed. He did admit that V/C told him they are aware this new design has a problem . This is the worst $2,500.00 we have ever spent as well as the worst purchasing experience ever. I will never buy a V/C stove or any thing else that Monessen Hearth sys. sells and I would caution any one not to go to the fireplace store in Plimouth Mass.
